Chris Cox's daughter is now 2 years old and ready for her first pony. Chris checked around and said the name RANCHPONY kept coming up.
Chris called and wanted to tape a show about finding a safe pony for children. We had a number of ponies that sounded like a good fit. We could have brought an entire collection of ponies - some appropriate for a two year old rider and some more advanced but the producers decided to advertise for more ponies so there was a good sampling of typical ponies available for sale from different sources. Nine ponies showed up, ranging from miniatures to a 14.1 hand registered quarter horse. Their training and skills varied from leadline to playday ponies. The ponies were lead in without tack and Chris asked for the owners to describe their ponies. Next the ponies were tacked up and ridden for the camera. Chris and his wife Barbara conferred and were able to find an appropriate pony from the group. Watch Chris Cox's show named "A Pony for Charley" on RFD TV to see which pony was chosen. The show will air sometime around December 21,2010 We'll post the date as soon as we know. |
