We sold Splash of Color, (formally registered APHA mare Zips Cool Rose), to Lynne at Firefox Stables
in Tomball. Lynne had Splash shown during the South Texas Hunter Jumper Association (STHJA) 2011 season. She was leading the points for the year
end award but lost her adult rider to college for the last show.
Splash had to be shown by an adult amateur to win the year end award
in her division. Lynne found out late in the game and called us Friday before the show to see if Tim could ride her at the show.
As you know it's a tall order to learn a new horse in just a few rides. Tim schooled Splash Saturday and with Lynne's guidance decided to do the best they could for the Sunday classes. Tim showed Splash in two flat classes and three over fences classes for all firsts and seconds. Tim and Splash were co-Champions with another horse for the horse show. The points earned that day were enough to put Splash over the top for the year end award. Congratulations Lynne and Tim, and especially Splash of Color on a successful show year! |
